Samsung's leaked plans for it's tablet segment sheds much light on what's to come. SamMobile has shared what looks to be a complete range of devices from 7 inchers up to 11 inch models including a big surprise, the Nexus 11.
Samsung Galaxy Tab DUOS 7.0
The Galaxy Tab DUOS will be a low priced dual core tablet. Much like the current Galaxy Tab 7.0, this new addition to the family will pack dual SIM support.
- Dual Core Processor
- 7.0 Inch (1024 x 600 pixels) PLS LCD
- 3 MP Rear Camera, 2 MP Front Camera
- Dual SIM Support
- MicroSD Card Support Up To 32 GB
Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0
With a Galaxy Note 8.0 already in the market, the new Tab 8.0 will pack what looks to be the first 1080p resolution display in 8 inches. Also, the Tab 8.0 will pack yesteryear's flagship Exynos 4412 quad core chipset.
- Exynos 4412 Chipset
- 1.4 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A9
- ARM Mali400 MP4 GPU
- 8.0 Inch 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display
- 5 MP Rear Camera, 2 MP Front Camera
- MicroSD Card Support Up To 64 GB
Apparently Samsung has yet to solve the screen-burn issues with the 8 inch 1080p AMOLED display. Once that is in order, the Korean giant will inevitably launch this new tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 11
Another new entrant to the series, the Tab 11 will pack a (no brainer) 11 inch display and the same chipset carried by the Google Nexus 10 (which is also made by Samsung). Although the resolution is not specified, we are guessing that it will be the same as the Nexus 10, i.e. 2560 x 1600 pixels.
- Exynos 5250 Chipset
- 1.7 GHz Dual Core ARM Cortex A15
- ARM Mali-T604 MP4 GPU
- 11.0 Inch Super PLS TFT Display
- 8 MP Rear Camera, 2 MP Front Camera
- MicroSD Card Support Up To 64 GB
NEXUS 11
Undoubtedly the most exciting device on the list, the Nexus 11 is a product being developed by Samsung. However the new Nexus hasn't been approved by Google yet but when it does, this will end up as the world's first Octa-Core packing tablet.
- Exynos 5410 Chipset
- ARM Cortex A15 / ARM Cortex A7 - big.LITTLE
- PowerVR SGX544 MP3 GPU
- 11.0 Inch Super PLS TFT Display
- 8 MP Rear Camera, 2 MP Front Camera
- MicroSD Card Support Up To 64 GB
