Justin Bieber has released a new song, ‘Recovery,’ as part of his “Music Mondays” series. The R&B slow jam was trending on Twitter and topped iTune charts around the world upon its midnight release. This latest “journal entry” as the teen music superstar calls these songs explores the aftermath of the dissolution of a relationship. The 19-year-old Justin Bieber Tweeted “It’s here. One of the most important songs to me I’ve ever written. #Recovery . Hope it helps you!” The song samples the hit single, ‘Fill Me In,’ by Grammy-nominated British singer-songwriter Craig David, who Tweeted his solid endorsement, “So many great memories flood back when hearing this guitar riff. Well done @justinbieber sounding great.” The single cover art for ‘Recovery’ which was previously released on Twitter is stark, unadorned; a white background with a purple cross, stylized like the Red Cross logo, which gives it a clinical look. The lyrics themselves are less poetic and more to the point, a sort of blank-verse confessional from an unnamed “I” to an unnamed “you,” giving the listeners the chance to eavesdrop.
