Engaging new partners to save lives
The Global Health Innovative Technology Fund (GHIT Fund), along with the New York Academy of Sciences and Japan Society, will host a panel discussion comprised of preeminent global health experts to examine recent successes and setbacks in global health and what they see as the secret ingredient to moving a vaccine, cure or diagnostic across the finish line and into the field.
Panelists will provide their unique perspectives on:
- How do these partnerships find success in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges?
- What have we learned from past successes that make the difference between a breakthrough diagnostic or treatment and a trip back to the drawing board?
- Where are the opportunities for the next big solutions?
- Who is missing from the table in the effort to push back against HIV, TB, malaria and neglected tropical diseases?
- Why should those outside the global health and NGO worlds join this effort?
The discussion will include an opportunity for questions from attendees. A networking reception will follow the panel.
